Dora’s Home is a charming, two-level, all brick residence with a basement. The main level has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a common living area, and a kitchen that accommodates all four residents. The upper level has two spacious bedrooms. The basement has a washer and dryer. There is also a covered patio in the gated back yard to enjoy the outdoors. By serving only four residents, we ensure that each person receives the individualized attention, warmth, and respect they deserve — not as a number, but as a member of our family.
The home offers easy access to local services, as it’s located a half-mile away from a grocery store and is directly across the street from a bus stop.
Dora’s Home is open to persons aged 55 years and older with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/ or recovering from chemical dependency. Residents must be ambulatory, able to follow directions and take independent action in emergency situations.
Applicants considered for acceptance into the home must be compatible with current residents and must be professionally recommended for community placement.
